Terms of Use

These terms apply to the OwnVault app and official website. By using them, you agree to these terms and the applicable app-store terms.

Local data responsibility

OwnVault stores vault data locally and does not maintain a server copy. You are responsible for device access, recovery information, and valid encrypted backups. Losing a device, recovery code, PIN, or backup password may cause permanent data loss.

Security limitations

No software can guarantee absolute security. OwnVault reduces certain network and server risks but cannot protect a compromised operating system, an unlocked device used by another person, weak user-chosen credentials, or backups handled insecurely.

Purchases and refunds

iOS is distributed as a paid download. Android may offer a free allowance and a one-time Pro entitlement. Final localized prices, payment, entitlement restoration, and refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play under their policies.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, impersonate the developer, redistribute modified builds as official OwnVault releases, or use the service in violation of applicable law.

Availability and changes

Features, supported systems, pricing, and availability may change. We will avoid presenting planned functionality as already available and will update official pages when material changes ship.
